ABOUT US

The Sullivan Group (TSG) is a mission-driven healthcare technology company focused on improving patient safety and reducing medical errors. Founded in 1998, by Dan Sullivan, MD, JD, FACEP, TSG’s clinical training, and audit software has been used by over 1,000 healthcare facilities and impacts more than 20 million patient visits annually.

In 2001, the largest hospital system in the US began working with TSG to reduce adverse events in the Emergency Department. After implementing TSG’s platform, they reported a reduction in diagnosis-related malpractice claims by 74%, which led to large scale adoption by many of the most well-recognized hospital systems and healthcare providers in the US. In 2011, TSG expanded its product line to include other high-risk areas of medicine, most notably Obstetrics. Early adoption of its Obstetrics audit by the largest health system in the country led to research published in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (AJOG) focused on improving neonatal outcomes and reducing adverse events.

In addition to serving its large client base, TSG supports several strategic partners by licensing its clinical content and intellectual property to them for new product development or product enhancements. Currently, TSG’s content is integrated into 8 different healthcare technology platforms to deliver a patient safety solution via electronic medical records, care coordination software, or voice-driven documentation software. Over 550 acute care facilities have used TSG’s content via a third-party software partner to improve patient outcomes.

In 2018, TSG relocated its office from the suburbs of Chicago to the Catalyst HTI building in Denver, CO. Around that time, they established a TSG Innovation Lab, designed to foster greater collaboration between TSG and healthcare startups.
